This has to be the cutest Christmas tree idea I have seen in a long time! I bet you can find white synthetic Christmas trees for pretty cheap as I am sure they are not as popular as the traditional green. Then just decorate it up like a snowman. The best touch in the photo above has to be the boots. They totally bring it all together!
